COVERT OPERATIONS GEAR (COG) LOW PROFILE EDC BAG

The Covert Operations Gear (COG) Low-Profile EDC Bag is an ambidextrous modular carry system that includes two (2) swappable velcro hook-backed EDC platforms/panels that can be mounted to the bag main body. Designed to be low-profile, the bag can be worn comfortably slung on your back and, even with a loaded weapon, show minimal print signature under a jacket. Alternatively, you can rotate the bag around to the front of the body while seated in a vehicle, allowing full access to the bag and its contents at all times.  Conceived and designed by COG and manufactured by Grey Ghost Gear, the COG Low-Profile EDC Bag is a collaboration between the two entities. The two EDC Platforms allow for a range of applications:

The EDC Pocket Platform has several open-top compartments in various widths to accommodate small items such as pens, knives, flashlights, notepads, multi-tools, and medical/IFAK items. This pocket platform also has two (2) zippered compartments, the smaller of which includes an HK style sling snap hook for attaching keys and/or electronic key FOBs. The larger zipper compartment is lined with soft foam material and is designed to accommodate many popular tablets. An iPad mini will fit in the pocket and can be zipped closed; a full-size iPad will fit, however the zipper must remain open.
The EDC Weapon Platform is velcro loop lined and is sized to accommodate a variety of handguns, from sub-compacts to full-sized handguns, with or without a weapon light. The EDC Weapon Platform is ambidextrous, with left and right-hand-zippered openings, allowing compartment access from either side, and is lined with velcro loop for the user to mount an appropriate velcro hook-backed holster. Proven Leather and Kydex holsters are generally compatible. The user may install a strip of adhesive backed velcro hook (not included) onto one side of the holster and affix the holster inside the weapon compartment. The Weapon Platform also features its own exterior-zippered pocket and a row of MOLLE to attach miscellaneous gear or a tourniquet.
With its ambidextrous design, the sling can be switched for left or right shoulder carry, and is adjustable for length to accommodate most people, sized from small-framed individuals to Yeti. Bartacked color-matching MOLLE runs the length of the sling shoulder, allowing users to weave in comms wires, battery pack cables, and more. The sling also includes a double-flap pocket made from stitch-weave twill fabric that will accommodate most smart phones and tourniquets.
The main body of the bag has a flap with a hidden exterior zippered compartment. Perhaps the most unique feature of the Low-Profile EDC bag is the two (2) magnetic Fidlock buckles on the main body flap. To open the magnetic Fidlock buckles, simply slide the top and bottom halves apart. To close the fasteners, when the top and bottom halves of the magnetic Fidlock buckles are within proximity of one another, the two halves will automatically snap together.

The COG Low Profile EDC Bag is a modular system that includes a velcro hook backed Weapon Platform:

The Weapon Platform is sized to accommodate a variety of handguns from sub-compacts all the way up to full sized handguns with or without a weapon light. The Weapon Platform has left and right hand zippered openings allowing compartment access from either side and is lined with velcro loop for the user to mount an appropriate velcro hook backed holster. It is NOT recommended to place a weapon in the weapon platform without a holster. reeballingthe gun loose in any bag compartment can place the weapon in an unpredictable and unsafe state/position. Proven Leather and Kydex holsters usually work well. Install a strip of adhesive backed velcro hook (not included) onto one side of the holster and affix the holster inside the weapon compartment. Test the draw with an unloaded weapon ensuring that draw and holstering operation is unimpeded and safe. Practice with the holster in this configuration and familiarize yourself with the procedure.

Never forget the rules on the safe handling of firearms: Treat all firearms as if they are loaded and know the condition of your firearm; keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire; always keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction; only point your firearm at those things you are willing to destroy, and: be sure of your target and its backstop before firing.

Pay attention upon drawing or holstering your firearm from your holster within the bag and be sure to follow the above-referenced rules of safe firearms handling, including, most notably, to keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. When drawing and holstering the firearm always be careful of your muzzle and the direction the gun is pointed. Always be aware of the retention of your firearm when engaging in strenuous physical activity as a gun falling out of a bag is an invitation to unintentional discharge.

It is the user responsibility throughout the serviceable life of the bag to personally check for proper fit and retention of any holster used in conjunction with this COG Low Profile EDC bag. This should be done each time a firearm is used with the bag. If any bag, holster, or accessory becomes worn, loose or ill fitting with age, you should cease use immediately.
